Identify Provider and Two Changes – MACRA and Physicians

The rough draft of your 8-10 page paper should contain an introduction leading to your thesis; the body with at least two sections to cover the two areas of potential changes providers will experience as a result of the affordable health care act; included here are your thoughts on causes of the changes, short-term effects, and long-term effects. Your conclusion summarizes your perspective on the issue as introduced in your thesis. The four research sources from your annotated bibliography should be presented in APA format at the end of the paper.

STEP ONE: Please read attachments to read the introduction and two changes I have already identified which affect physicians under the ACA MACRA Law.

STEP TWO: FIND some research (AMERICAN ONLY) on causes of the changes, long term and short term effects of the changes.

PLEASE WRITE in English and use American sources! Government or state sources are the most accurate

If you see the term “goodwill” as a line item on the Balance Sheet, what is it referring to? How is “goodwill” created from an accounting point of view? And, how does the value of goodwill change over time?

The questions are as follows:

1. If you see the term “goodwill” as a line item on the Balance Sheet, what is it referring to? How is “goodwill” created from an accounting point of view? And, how does the value of goodwill change over time?

2. When we depreciate an asset we recognize the expense of depreciation over the life of the asset. This practice is consistent with the accounting principle know as ________________.

3. If an asset is purchased for $22,000, and has an estimated life of 6 years, and it costs $2,000 to install the asset, and it is not expected to have any salvage value after its six year useful life, how much will the depreciation be in the fourth year recorded on the income statement if the organization used straight-line depreciation? How much will the accumulated depreciation be for that asset on the balance sheet? If the organization uses an accelerated depreciation method such as Sum-of-the-years’ digit, will the depreciation expense in the fourth year be higher or lower than it would be using the straight line method? Will the accumulated depreciation be higher or lower after the fourth year than it would be using the straight line method?

4. Briefly explain the difference between “FIFO” and “LIFO” when accounting for inventories.

5. If cash is normally the first asset listed as a current asset on the balance sheet, what determines the order of the other current assets that are listed?

6. The accounting policies that are important to an organization are customarily noted in the footnotes of the financial statements. Note three policies you would expect to see in such a footnote to a health care organization.

7. For this question you will use the financial Statements for Sentara Healthcare from the course Skill Building activity in Module 9 on Financial Statement Analysis. Using the ratio definitions from the Finkler textbook in Chapter 14 (the page numbers are noted below), compute these ratios for both 2011 and 2010:

Synthesis of fatty acids, Synthesis of fatty acids requires

4. Synthesis of fatty acids needs the movement of citrate out of the mitochondria. This occurs under conditions of high levels of acetyl CoA which is needed to stimulate the activity of:
-pyruvate carboxylase
-pyruvate dehydrogenase
-isocitrate dehydrogenase
5. which of the following activators is correctly paired with the glycolytic or gluconeogenic enzyme that is activates?
-AMP: Fructose 12,6 Bis
-Citrate: Fructose 12,6 Bis
-Fructose 2, 6 Bis: Phosphofructose 1 (PFK1)
-glucose 6 P: Hexokinase
6.
Within the cytosol which series of enzymes in order convert citrate back into pyruvate:
-citrate lyase, malate dehydrogenase, malic enzyme
– citrate synthase malate dehydrogenase, malic enzyme
-citrate lyase, pyruvate carboxylase, malic enzyme

Describe in detail the specific experiment you would create with your client to aIDress the chosen disorder.

Prior to beginning work on this discussion please read pages 8 – 14 of the Bennett-Levy, Westbrook, Fennell, Cooper, Rouf, and Hackmann chapter of the google book Oxford Guide to Behavioural Experiments in Cognitive Therapy (2004), the Weck article (2013), and theCombs, Tiegreen, and Nelson article (2007).

Choose a specific disorder from the following list.

  • Agoraphobia
  • Anorexia or Bulimia
  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Depression
  • Panic Disorder
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Specific Phobias (public speaking, heights, animals, etc.)
  • Substance Abuse

For your initial post you will take on the role of a cognitive behavioral therapist. Create a fictional client experiencing your chosen disorder. Apply cognitive and behavioral theories to the client’s issue to develop a cognitive behavioral experiment you might use with this client. Describe in detail the specific experiment you would create with your client to aIDress the chosen disorder. Your experiment should include both cognitive and behavioral aspects. Use the first six of the seven steps for designing coginitive behavioral experiments outlined on page 33 of the Combs, Tiegreen, and Nelson article to organize your hypothetical experiment. Your initial post should be a minimum of 350 words.

Guided Response:  Respond in a substantive way to at least two of your peers.  If possible, choose one peer response that used the same disorder as your original post.  Compare and contrast your hypothetical experiment with that of your peer. Look for similarities in approaches to different disorders.  Provide alternative suggestions for experiment design elements where appropriate.

The Case of Biogenetic Engineering: What are the potential Environmental Implications?

The Case of Biogenetic Engineering: What are the potential Environmental Implications?

It must be referenced substantially and appropriately (approximately 8 or more references for a research essay) containing non-Web page references.

Topic: The Case of Biogenetic Engineering: What are the potential Environmental Implications?
Mean topic: The potential Environmental Implications of GM food.

Thesis: As the population increase, human needs more food as never before. Therefore, rise of the food production is necessary to do so. Base on the technology development, genetically modified food has become one of our friends for everyday life. This essay will point out the potential environmental implications through health impacts, environmental impacts and social impacts.

First argument: Health Impacts.
1). Labeling
1. European GM food labeling
2. North American GM food labeling
2). Potential health impact
1. Irritability
2. Nutrition balance
Second argument: Environmental Impacts
1). Natural Environmental effect.
1. The rise of Super weed
2. Effect other living beings
2). Sustainable development
1. Mass production
2. Law of conservation of mass
Third argument: Social impacts.
1). Monsanto
1. Seed produce and selling
2. Imparity Clause
2). Unstabilizing Society
1. Unknown impact.
2. Everyday threatens.

Conclusion: GM food has so many potential negative impacts due to healthily, environmental and socially. As living beings, we cannot live without consume food; therefore, solving food problematic should be the top issue for us.

Solution-Better chance of survival in an arctic environment

How would you respond to the statement:

The simulation showed that white bunnies have a better chance of survival in an arctic environment and the brown bunnies have a better chance of survival in an equator environment. The factor would be wolves. A white rabbit would be easier for a wolf to spot in an equator environment, making the brown rabbit less vulnerable and more likely to survive. On the other hand, the brown rabbit would have less chance of survival in the arctic because their fur would stick out in that environment. The easier they are for the wolf to see, the more likely they are to be eaten.

Natural selection is an animal’s ability to survive based on how they adapt to their environment. Being a color that is uniform to your environment making you less visible to your prey is just that.
